Use | Used as a local anesthetic |
In vitro study | Dibucaine (Cinchocaine) HCl is one of the most effective and toxic local anesthetics. Dibucaine (Cinchocaine) HCl blocks the generation and conduction of nerve impulses by reducing the permeability of neuronal cell membranes to sodium ions. This reversibly stabilizes the cell membrane and inhibits depolarization, leading to conduction failure of the action potential and subsequent conduction block. |

biological activity | Dibucaine HCl (Cinchocaine) is a local anesthetic. |
Target | Value |
use | this product is an amide anesthetic. among the local anesthetics used in clinical application, ocicaine is the one with the strongest effect, the greatest toxicity and the longest maintenance time. The anesthetic intensity of injection administration is 15 times that of procaine, and the toxicity is 15 times greater. The onset is slow, about 15min, but the duration of action is 3 times that of procaine. Local irritation is small and penetration is strong. Used for topical anesthesia, infiltration anesthesia or epidural anesthesia. Used as a local anesthetic |
Production method | 2-hydroxyquinoline carboxylic acid is chlorinated, condensed, butyl etherified, and salted to obtain ocicaine. |
